Dr. Quatela founded not only Q the Medical Spa but also the Quatela Center for Hair Restoration and the Quatela Center for Plastic Surgery, all located at the historic Lindsay House. His vision was to create an all-encompassing aesthetic practice, offering a range of advanced surgical and nonsurgical treatments to deliver the highest level of care and the most transformative results.

Training an Unmatched Med Spa Team 

Dr. Quatela’s commitment to excellence extends beyond his surgical practice. He takes a hands-on role in training the Q the Medical Spa staff, ensuring they are well-versed in the latest technology and the most advanced, precise techniques available. His leadership and mentorship guarantee that the med spa team provides the same level of expertise and care that defines his surgical practice. By continually updating the staff on the latest innovations, Dr. Quatela ensures that every treatment at Q the Medical Spa is both leading-edge and highly effective.

Giving Back

In 2003, Dr. Quatela founded the HUGS (Help Us Give Smiles) Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides free surgical care to children with congenital deformities in underserved countries. Each year, Dr. Quatela leads medical missions to countries such as Vietnam, Ecuador, and Guatemala, offering life-changing surgeries to children in need. His personal philosophy that “every human being has a fundamental right to the opportunity to grow and develop socially and intellectually without being ostracized or rejected due to a physical abnormality” continues to inspire his work both at home and abroad.

Educating the Next Generation

Dr. Quatela also plays a pivotal role in mentoring the next generation of facial plastic surgeons. His AAFPRS fellowship program at the Quatela Center for Plastic Surgery is among the most esteemed in the country. Through his fellowship, young surgeons receive hands-on training, learn specialist techniques, and gain invaluable experience. Dr. Quatela is also a clinical associate professor at the University of Rochester, where he has been training residents and medical students for over 20 years.
