Those cool fall mornings are upon us, and it’s time to keep your scalp happy and your hair growing! Zenagen is a new product line that is inclusive of all hair types for various needs. Even better, their products are color-safe, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and vegan. They are also free from parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, alcohol, and harsh chemicals. The founder himself was struggling with hair loss as a medical student, and found through various medical studies that nutraceutical ingredients (those that come from food sources and provide additional health benefits) are key to achieving healthier, fuller hair.
What Are the Zenagen Products?
Revolve System
The Revolve System includes a unique shampoo formula for both men and women, as well as a unisex hair conditioner. The Revolve Formula is best suited for those with fine and visibly thinning hair. The shampoo is formulated to lather with antioxidant-rich green tea extract to stimulate the growth phase of the hair follicle, while their powerful amino acid complex adds density to the existing hair shaft.
The men’s formula focuses on using more saw palmetto extract to help block DHT from shrinking the existing hair follicles. During menopause, estrogen levels can decrease, allowing androgens such as DHT to increase, so the women’s formula features more red clover extract, which is especially beneficial in reducing inflammation and blocking DHT.
Evolve System
The Evolve System is made for maintaining, nourishing, and hydrating the hair once you are happy with the density and thickness of your hair. The system repairs the hair from the inside out by sealing the cuticle, leaving the hair more strong and resilient. This is a great option for protecting your hair from the common exposures of heat, bleach, and chemical treatments.
How Do You Use Zenagen?
Regardless of the formula you choose, the 2-step system only requires about 5 minutes in the shower, 3 times a week. Wet the hair and scalp, scrub the shampoo with your fingertips or a scalp stimulator, and leave it in for 5 minutes so that the follicle can benefit from the ingredients. Rinse and condition for 30 seconds. Please note that there is no additional benefit to washing with Zenagen shampoo daily, so it is best to skip a wash day and use 3 times a week.
An added bonus to the 2-step system is their Densifying Hair Serum. We have tested several clinical hair loss brands and their hair serums, and I must say, this one takes the cake! It is truly non-greasy, very watery, and absorbs quickly. Apply once a day to spot/trouble areas or the entire scalp and massage. After the hair dries, go in with a quick brush and you’re good to go! This product is certainly approved for daily use if you feel like you need a boost on a no-wash day. The serum has high levels of cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil, which is rich in zinc, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids to promote hair growth and keep the scalp supple and nourished.
