What To Expect During Your diVa Session
Your diVa treatment takes place in a comfortable, private setting. After applying a topical anesthetic, your nurse practitioner inserts a disposable dilator into the vaginal canal to keep it gently expanded. The diVa handpiece is then inserted into the dilator and delivers precise laser energy as it rotates, ensuring even treatment of the tissue.
You may feel slight pressure or sensitivity near the vaginal opening, but most clients find the treatment very tolerable. The entire session takes only 3 to 5 minutes.
What Is Recovery Like After a diVa Treatment?
One of the main advantages of diVa is that there is no required downtime. You can return to your regular activities immediately. Some clients may experience mild discharge, spotting, or slight discomfort within the first 48 hours, but the recovery is generally quick and comfortable.
During the initial 2 days after treatment, we also advise you to avoid heavy lifting, strenuous exercise, and soaking in a bath, hot tub, or pool. You should also refrain from sexual intercourse, using tampons, or inserting anything into the vaginal canal to allow the tissue to heal.
Your diVa Results
Most clients notice improvements in sensitivity and comfort within 4 to 6 weeks after their first treatment. Your results will continue to improve over the next 12 weeks as the tissue tightens and new collagen is produced.
For optimal results, we recommend getting a series of 3 diVa treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Many clients then return for an annual maintenance treatment to maintain the benefits of diVa.

Do I need a referral from my OB-GYN?
We require a pelvic exam and office notes from a gynecologic exam performed within the past 6 months to ensure you are a suitable candidate for diVa treatments.
Does diVa tighten the labia?
DiVa is designed for internal vaginal rejuvenation. For external labial enhancement, labiaplasty may be a better option for you. Dr. Ashley Amalfi, a board-certified plastic surgeon at the Quatela Center for Plastic Surgery, can provide more information. Typically, clients who want internal and external rejuvenation will get the best results with surgical labiaplasty followed by diVa treatments 6 months later.
When can I get diVa after giving birth?
We recommend waiting at least 3 to 6 months after giving birth before undergoing any vaginal rejuvenation treatments.
