Our Expert Pick For

The Beauty of EMSELLA

EMSELLA uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM®) technology to induce powerful contractions in the pelvic floor muscles. These contractions are much stronger and faster than you could achieve on your own, providing the equivalent of 11,000 Kegel exercises in a single 30-minute session. This strengthening effect helps to support the pelvic organs and reduce urinary incontinence.

Whether you’re dealing with stress incontinence, an overactive bladder, or a combination of both, EMSELLA treatments at Q the Medical Spa can help you regain confidence and control over your daily life.

What Can EMSELLA Do for You?

EMSELLA is designed to improve the quality of life for both women and men by addressing:

  • Stress urinary incontinence, such as leaks when laughing, coughing, or sneezing.
  • An overactive bladder that causes frequent, urgent trips to the bathroom.
  • Mixed incontinence, which includes both stress and urge incontinence.

Bespoke Consultations at Q the Medical Spa

Before your first EMSELLA treatment, you will meet with one of our experienced providers for a personal consultation. We’ll assess your symptoms, discuss your goals, and determine if EMSELLA is right for you. We want to ensure you have realistic expectations and a thorough understanding of the benefits and limitations of this treatment.

What To Expect During Your EMSELLA Session

We administer all EMSELLA treatments at Longevità Medical in Victor, New York, the area’s first provider of this technology. During your EMSELLA treatment, you’ll be fully clothed and seated on the specialized EMSELLA chair. The HIFEM technology delivers electromagnetic energy to your pelvic floor muscles, causing rapid contractions that may feel unusual but should not be painful.

Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes, during which you can relax, read, or listen to music. The treatment is completely noninvasive, so you can sit back and let the technology do the work.

What Is Recovery Like After EMSELLA?

No downtime is required after an EMSELLA session, and you can return to work and your normal activities immediately. Some clients may experience temporary muscle fatigue, similar to what you might feel after a workout, but this is usually well tolerated. You may do light exercise following your session, but we recommend waiting at least 24 hours before doing any heavy lifting or strenuous workouts.

Your EMSELLA Results

Many clients notice an improvement in their symptoms after the first session, with significant changes typically occurring a few weeks after their final treatment. Some clients may experience a temporary increase in symptoms due to muscle fatigue, but this is normal and resolves quickly as the muscles strengthen.
